2026-2027 Electrician Orangeburg County Schools Orangeburg County School District - Orangeburg, South Carolina Location: Orangeburg, South Carolina Position Type: Full-time Job Summary The job of an Electrician is for the purpose of providing electrical services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at the job site. Responsibilities Identify repair and/or replacement needs. Install, repair, maintain, and upgrade systems and equipment. Assist other skilled trades. Ensure that tools and materials are available at job sites. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent plus additional classes, certificates, or degrees related to electrical work. Knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in electrical work. Driver's license to travel to various sites within the district. Working Conditions This position is responsible for assignments throughout Orangeburg County School District. Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changing work priorities. Assignments may take place outdoors as well as indoors. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and communicate with others.
