As of July 12, 2026, the step 1 rate for pay grade 23 will be $42.08 per hour and the step 15 rate will be $65.70 per hour. Minimum Qualifications Possession of, or eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont or eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi‑state license AND two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience. OR Possession of, or eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont or eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi‑state license AND one (1) year or more of experience as a Registered NurseI with the State of Vermont. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Specialty Areas: Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Geriatric Pediatric/Adolescent Special Requirements Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels and for unannounced regulatory inspections and is considered a condition of employment. The ability to work overtime when required is an essential function of this job class.
