Instructional Materials Inventory Analyst

The Analyst, Instructional Materials Inventory is responsible for ensuring the accurate tracking, timely distribution, and efficient management of instructional materials across the district. This role supports a high-volume, year-round delivery system driven by consumable materials and increased inventory complexity, ensuring campuses receive the right materials at the right time to support uninterrupted instruction. The Analyst maintains real-time inventory accuracy, monitors usage and replenishment needs, and coordinates closely with campuses, vendors, and Curriculum & Instruction staff to resolve discrepancies and respond to campus needs with urgency and precision. The role contributes to a reliable, responsive warehouse operation by supporting data systems, inventory processes, and continuous improvement of materials management practices.

Knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse operations, and logistics processes, including best practices for managing high-volume materials and year-round distribution. Knowledge of data management practices and systems used to track inventory, orders, deliveries, and reconciliation processes with accuracy and consistency. Knowledge of district policies, procedures, and operational requirements related to instructional materials, inventory management, and distribution. Knowledge of data-driven decision-making, including the ability to analyze inventory levels, usage trends, and discrepancies to inform replenishment and distribution decisions.

Skill in maintaining accurate, real-time inventory records and ensuring data integrity across inventory and warehouse management systems. Skill in analyzing and reconciling data across multiple sources, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues with precision and attention to detail. Skill in organizing and managing multiple priorities, including inventory tracking, order fulfillment, reporting, and communication with campuses and vendors. Skill in using software applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and inventory systems, to manage data, track materials, and generate reports. Skill in clear and effective communication, both oral and written, including the ability to provide timely updates and resolve issues with campuses, vendors, and internal teams. Skill in problem-solving and responding to operational challenges with urgency, accuracy, and a solutions-oriented approach.

Ability to work with large quantities of data and inventory records in an accurate, efficient, and detail-oriented manner. Ability to reconcile system data to physical inventory and source documentation, ensuring accuracy and accountability across all materials. Ability to understand and apply policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure compliance and consistency in inventory management practices. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with campus staff, vendors, and internal departments to support timely and responsive service. Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness. Ability to engage in continuous professional learning and adapt to changes in systems, processes, and operational demands.

Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. Minimum required qualifications include an accredited high school diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency, with an associate's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
