Position Overview

Paramount Strat is seeking a Safety Manager to support a data center construction project with one of our clients. This field-based position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a proactive safety culture across project operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with client leadership, project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to identify risks, implement safety initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Schedule

• Typical schedule is Monday through Saturday.
• Some projects may operate on a Monday through Friday schedule.
• Additional hours may be required based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee site-specific safety programs and initiatives.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Identify hazards and develop practical risk mitigation strategies.
• Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• Deliver safety orientations, onboarding programs, toolbox talks, and ongoing training.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries, including root cause analysis and corrective action development.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and regulatory records.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and field personnel to strengthen safety performance.
• Monitor trends and recommend improvements to safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety, construction, industrial operations, manufacturing, energy, trades, military leadership, or related environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety principles and a commitment to maintaining safe work environments.
• Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and influence positive safety behaviors.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits, investigations, or training is beneficial but not required.
• Proficiency with safety documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Certification
• CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST, or similar credentials
• Experience supporting construction, industrial, manufacturing, or trade-related projects
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field
• Experience supporting large-scale construction projects, including data center construction, is a plus
