Make a meaningful impact as a dedicated paraprofessional working 1:1 with a medically fragile student. This contract opportunity begins with a 9-week “trial period” from August 24 to October 23, with the strong probability of extending for the full school year. The position is located near Chesterfield, VA and offers a consistent schedule of 32 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Active paraprofessional license for Virginia OR an Associate’s degree or higher (please have credentials available for submission)
• Proven experience working in 1:1 environments with medically fragile children
• Skilled and comfortable assisting with seizures, wheelchair transfers, and toileting
• Strong sense of responsibility, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized, attentive support to one medically fragile student during the school day
• Assist with activities of daily living including seizure response, mobility (wheelchair assistance), and toileting
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student safety and learning
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the student’s dignity at all times
• Follow protocol for medical care and emergency situations
