Chief Engineer

Maintenance TechnicianDo you consider yourself skilled in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical systems? We are looking for an individual that has an array of skills to do general maintenance at our hotel. We will keep you busy and if you prefer working on projects by yourself, this job is for you.Responsibilities:Make sure all work orders are completed in a timely mannerImplement preventative maintenance programs for the property/equipmentKnow and adhere to hotel/franchise and ZMC Hotels standardsOversees all staff in maintenance departmentKnowledge of fire alarm and evacuation proceduresTests and maintains water content of swimming pool and whirlpool in accordance with hotel/franchise standards and local Health Department CodesMaintain parts and supplies inventory, advising General Manager on items neededInspects, maintains, and cleans outside grounds, including parking lot, curbs, and landscapingInspect and maintain elevatorsKnowledge of OSHA procedures and trainingRepair furniture and structures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, windows, bed frames, etc.Does painting, touch-up painting, and finishing of furniture and buildingChecks electrical systems such as refrigerator controls, phone systems, televisions, movie systems, key systems, HVAC units and lighting making repairs as necessaryChecks and makes repairs on general plumbing systems such as pipelines, toilets, tubs, sinks, whirlpools, and drainsSolicits bids from contractors, discuss with General Manager, and oversee any work doneComplete a weekly maintenance logMaintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, fellow employees, and personMaintain and test all life safety systemsMust be responsible for the security of guests, fellow employees, and hotel assetsMust be CPR certified, SDS trained, and completed AWAIR programMust perform any other required duties as requested by the General Manager to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guestsAll duties must be carried out in a safe mannerBe flexible and adaptable to the changes that will occur to your jobEmployee must treat everyone with dignity and respectKeep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial /status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.Qualifications:Able to lift, stand, carry tools and equipmentHave some previous experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical workGeneral maintenance and repair knowledgeBenefits/Perks:Medical, Dental, Paid time off, 401(k) for full-time employeesAll employees get discounts on hotel's outside of their hotel they work inOpportunities for bonuses$250 referral bonus for you and a referred associateDailyPay: access to your already earned wages before payday *Hourly Employees only*
