Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required. License: Current RN Licensure in California. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (within 180 days of hire), TNCC (within 180 days of hire), NIHSS (within 90 days of hire). Must-Have: Ability to manage complex patient care, strong communication skills, and experience with various ICU procedures and protocols. Description: Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care. Includes direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support groups, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Adheres to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience. Weekend requirement: Every other Saturday and Sunday; holiday coverage as needed. Patient care involves a daily census of approximately 40 patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1. Must be willing to float occasionally as needed. The position requires strong skills in critical care management, including ventilator management, arterial line management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates must also be able to administer emergency medications and manage patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure.
