Commercial Construction Project Controls Accountant Why this role matters
Keep a flagship commercial project in Bergen County, NJ on-budget and on-course by delivering precise financial stewardship within a general contracting environment.
What you’ll own- Project financial statements and reporting packages
- Budget tracking, cost-to-complete, and commitment management
- Revenue recognition and forecast updates in partnership with PMs
- Cost analysis to surface savings and flag emerging risks
- Subcontractor pay application processing and documentation control
- Insurance, bond, and subcontractor compliance reviews
- Owner billing, invoice preparation, and accounts receivable support
- Certified payroll compliance and required reporting
- Hands-on experience in construction accounting or project accounting
- Strong command of job costing and project financial controls
- Ability to perform in a fast-moving GC environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization
Bergen County, New Jersey — embedded with a general contracting team on a large commercial construction project.
