American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Tele for a day shift contract requiring prior travel nursing experience and IL licensure.

Work in the ICU caring for inpatient Med/Surg/Telemetry admissions

12-hour day shifts

Every other weekend required

Holiday coverage required as needed

Floating required, with priority to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units

No on-call requirements

Active IL RN license required

Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross only)

NIHSS certification required

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment

New graduates not accepted

Epic EMR experience required

Must pass a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration

Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation

2 professional references required, with 1 reference required from most recent travel assignment

Date of birth required for consideration

Provide nursing care to inpatient Med/Surg/Telemetry patients in an ICU setting

Must work at least 1-2 holidays during the contract

RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts or 7 days for 13-week contracts

Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be considered local

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being submitted as a traveler

Candidates will participate in a brief 10-15 minute interview with the hospital
