Population Health Business Analyst Position Overview As a Population Health Business Analyst with BCBSWY, you serve as an essential member of the Population Health team. You support the population health director in creating and overseeing programs using data and analytics by coordinating with subject matter experts to identify trends in access, quality, utilization, and efficiency in the healthcare delivery system. A strong background in creating written reports, graphs, and presentations is key. This role includes coordinating with internal and external partners, attending meetings, completing work, and communicating with peers to coordinate tasks within the department. You support presentations and act as a “Brand Ambassador” within the local community and/or geographical region. Responsibilities Support the population health director in program development and oversight. Analyze data to identify trends in access, quality, utilization and efficiency. Create written reports, graphs and presentations. Coordinate with internal and external partners to support the department. Attend meetings, complete work, and communicate with peers to coordinate tasks. Represent the organization as a “Brand Ambassador” in the local community. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Master’s degree and/or previous experience in healthcare preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Active driver’s license. Strong organizational and prioritization skills; attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of business principles relevant to project management, prioritization, analytics review, report writing, and communication. Work Environment May involve evening and weekend hours on a periodic basis. Periodic in‑state travel and possible overnight travel out of state.
