Bailey Behavioral Health is expanding into McHenry County, Illinois, and we are looking for strong clinical candidates who understand—or are eager to develop a strong understanding of—the unique demands of working in a private practice setting.

We are seeking licensed and provisionally licensed clinical therapists who are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate mental health care and who are passionate about the populations we serve.

Our ideal candidate is driven, dependable, clinically competent, and comfortable balancing the autonomy of private practice with the collaboration and support of a group practice. Knowledge of and/or previous experience working in a private practice setting is strongly preferred. Candidates should understand the importance of maintaining a consistent caseload, timely clinical documentation, professional communication, client retention and continuity of care, scheduling responsibility, ethical practice, and collaboration with administrative and billing teams.

About Bailey Behavioral Health

Bailey Behavioral Health provides psychotherapy services across the lifespan, serving children as young as eight through older adulthood. Our practice offers a warm, welcoming, and supportive clinical environment with a strong commitment to ethical care, clinical excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.

We are seeking therapists with the following credentials:

LCPC, LCSW, LPC, or LSW

Provisionally licensed clinicians, including LPCs and LSWs , are encouraged to apply. Clinical interns may also be considered based on experience, training, and practice needs.

We are excited to welcome another like-minded clinician who wants to grow their caseload, strengthen their clinical skills, and become an active part of a collaborative private practice.

Schedules are flexible. Evening availability and availability for at least one weekend day are highly encouraged due to the scheduling needs of the populations we serve.

What We Are Looking For

Strong candidates will demonstrate:

• Knowledge of and/or experience working in a private mental health practice
• Ability to work independently while remaining engaged with a collaborative clinical team
• Strong clinical judgment and ethical decision-making
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professionalism, reliability, integrity, and accountability
• Ability to establish and maintain therapeutic rapport
• Commitment to timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Understanding of the importance of maintaining a consistent caseload and continuity of care
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, administrative staff, and leadership
• Willingness to grow professionally and contribute positively to the culture of the practice
• Genuine passion for providing high-quality mental health services
  

Requirements

• Current Illinois license or provisional license as a LCSW, LCPC, LPC, or LSW
• Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
• Private practice experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of private practice operations strongly preferred
• Ability to maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation
• Willingness to work 20 or more hours per week for part-time employment
• Willingness to work approximately 30+ hours per week or more for full-time employment
• Evening and/or weekend availability strongly preferred
• Current insurance paneling is a plus but is not required
• Intern candidates may be considered based on qualifications and availability

Education

Master's degree preferred or higher , depending upon licensure and professional discipline.

Work Location

McHenry County, Illinois
One primary location with hybrid opportunities available depending on position and clinical needs.

Compensation

Fee-for-service W-2 compensation with an estimated annual range of $61,326.00–$100,861.66 , dependent upon licensure level, caseload, scheduled clinical hours, and services provided.
