Second-Shift Production Lead, Precision Manufacturing

A growing precision manufacturing company is hiring a Production Supervisor for second shift to drive daily execution across machining and assembly operations. This is a hands on floor leadership role focused on safety, output, quality discipline, and team development. You will work closely with production leads, machinists, quality, and site leadership to keep work flowing, remove barriers, and ensure consistent shift to shift communication. Production Supervisor Second Shift What You Will Do Lead daily second shift production by assigning work, managing priorities, and ensuring schedule attainment Coach and develop the team through onboarding, training, cross training, and clear performance expectations Track shift performance including output, scrap, downtime, and overtime, then take real time corrective action Enforce safety rules, housekeeping standards, and work instruction compliance across the shop floor Partner with Quality to support containment, disposition, and prevention of repeat nonconformances Troubleshoot production issues and support setups or problem solving as needed to keep machines running Communicate shift status, risks, and handoff notes clearly to first shift and leadership Support continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, uptime, and process discipline Use ERP and Microsoft tools to document results, communicate, and maintain basic production records Production Supervisor Second Shift What You Bring 5 plus years in manufacturing with demonstrated floor leadership responsibility Experience supervising machining, CNC, fabrication, or other precision production environments strongly preferred Ability to run a shift through metrics, prioritization, and consistent follow through Strong safety mindset with willingness to hold the line on PPE and housekeeping standards Comfort working in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and limited support layers Working knowledge of production reporting using ERP plus Excel for basic metric tracking Clear communicator who can manage accountability while keeping morale steady Stable tenure history with proven reliability on a shift schedule Production Supervisor Second Shift Compensation and Opportunity Strong base salary with comprehensive benefits Direct impact role with visibility to site leadership and influence over daily performance Opportunity to build and lead a high accountability second shift team in a growing operation Broad exposure across machining operations, quality coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives Relocation may be considered for a strong fit JOB ID : 171680#post Kalyn Schreckhise #J-18808-Ljbffr
