Registered Nurse (RN) (Windsor)

Registered Nurse – Regular Part-Time Rate of Pay: $39.07 – $56.00 per hour Hours of Work per Week: Up to 25 hours per week Shift Work Required: Yes Hours of Work: 07:00 – 15:00 (Day Shifts), 15:00 – 23:00 (Evening Shifts), 23:00 – 07:00 (Night Shifts) Responsibilities Ensure safe, high-quality 24-hour care by supervising and delegating staff on the unit according to the CNO Practice Guidelines. Complete the InterRAI assessment process, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor, respond to, and document changes in residents' health status. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families, providing leadership and supervision to Personal Support Workers and Registered Practical Nurses. Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits and maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health records. Perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation's Health and Safety Program. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse. Experience in nursing within the last five (5) years. Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and ability to work effectively as a team leader. Communicate with the general public and fellow staff in a courteous and tactful manner. Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act (FLTCA) and the Occupational Health & Safety Act, is considered an asset. Previous experience in geriatrics is an asset. Verification of a current Heart Saver Level A plus current First Aid Certificate will be deemed an asset. Physical Demands The physical demands analysis associated with this job indicates a medium level of work; must complete a post‑agility test in an effort to assist the successful candidate in completing the position tasks safely and to aid in minimizing injuries on the job.
