Further information can be found at As at 30 June 2026Role OverviewThe Portfolio Analyst role puts you at the intersection of quantitative research, portfolio construction, and live investment decision-making. You'll own or assist in critical parts of the investment process, from signal validation to portfolio risk management, with direct visibility into how your work affects real capital allocation in multi-billion dollar quant equity hedge fund strategies. You'll work alongside a team of Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts, with the opportunity to shape how strategies are implemented and improved.ResponsibilitiesWork with portfolio managers on day-to-day portfolio management workflows, including validating the implementation of the investment strategiesAnalyze the output of our portfolio construction process to ensure the integrity of our investment philosophy and improve the outcomesWork with team in identifying and championing new alpha and risk management ideas from concept through to implementationDesign tools for evaluating and improving portfolio implementation and performanceAssist in signal enhancement initiatives in partnership with research teams, and develop independent research ideas with a clear path to productionAssist in the analytical narrative for client communications and presentationsWork across teams within Man Group to solve investment, technical, and operational challengesKey Skills & ExperienceUndergraduate and/or graduate coursework in accounting, finance, statistics, computer science, economics, or mathematicsCoding experience required, Python preferredRecent Graduates encouraged to applyDeep interest in investing and the financial marketsAbility to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesDemonstrated track record of self-directed projects or researchStrong sense of integrityWhat We OfferExposure to live systematic investment processes managing significant AUMDirect interaction and mentorship from senior PMs and the research teamA culture that rewards initiative and offers strong career development opportunitiesThe anticipated based salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation packages would also include benefits and a discretionary bonus.
