Job Title: Registered Dietitian – Inpatient
Location: Syracuse, NY
Type: Local or Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift & Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 Hours Per Week
Pay Rate:
Local: $2,200 - $2,600 Weekly (Based on Eligibility and Experience)
Travel: $2,700 - $3,000 Weekly (Based on Eligibility and Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian – Inpatient Clinical Dietitian for an exciting Local or Travel job in Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for hospitalized patients across all age groups.

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and evidence-based nutrition interventions.

• Screen, identify, diagnose, and monitor patients at risk for malnutrition.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans.

• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the electronic medical record.

• Recommend and implement diet modifications, texture changes, and nutritional supplements.

• Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition support therapies, including formula selection and monitoring.

• Monitor laboratory values and nutrition-related outcomes to optimize patient care.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and caregivers.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

• Attend interdisciplinary rounds, departmental meetings, and professional development programs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential.

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient clinical dietitian experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of malnutrition assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree.

• New York State Dietitian/Nutritionist Certification (CDN) or eligibility.

• CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) Certification.

• Pediatric nutrition experience.

• Critical Care experience.

• Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition support.

• Experience working in acute care hospital settings.
