Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is responsible for delivering high-acuity care to neonates, including micro preemies and newborns requiring respiratory support and surgical care. Working within a Level III NICU, the RN will provide specialized nursing care for preterm infants of 24 weeks gestation and above.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to neonates in a high-acuity Level III NICU setting.
• Manage care for infants from 24 weeks gestation, including those on respiratory support.
• Ensure accurate documentation using Epic charting systems.
• Participate in the rotation of weekends and may float to other NorthShore facilities.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a NICU RN with experience in Level III-IV NICUs.
• Hold a valid Illinois RN license, CPR, and NRP certifications.
• Experience with caring for micro preemies, high acuity, grower feeder infants.
• Ability to float as needed and work every other weekend and holidays as required.
