Our success is driven by our commitment to integrity, teamwork, accountability, and creating customers for life.Position SummaryHome Appliance is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing company. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the integrity of accounting processes across multiple business functions.The ideal candidate will possess strong auditing and reconciliation skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience working in a fast-paced, small business environment.ResponsibilitiesProcess accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payment runsManage accounts receivable, customer billing, and collections activitiesPerform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and journal entriesConduct account audits and identify discrepanciesMaintain general ledger accuracyAssist with month-end and year-end close processesPrepare recurring financial reports and analyze financial dataAssist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliationsPrepare commission reportsProcess and reconcile manufacturer rebates and claim backsPrepare and file sales tax reports and ensure compliance with tax regulationsMaintain accurate financial records and supporting documentationAssist with process improvements and other accounting projects as neededQualificationsMinimum of three years of accounting or bookkeeping experienceSmall business accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reportingExperience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAPStrong auditing, reconciliation, analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with month-end close and financial statement preparationExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesWhy Join Home Appliance?Established and growing company serving Northeast Ohio since 1962Three locations with a strong reputation for customer service and excellenceCollaborative, team-oriented culture that values accountability and integrityOpportunity to make a meaningful impact and grow professionally within the organizationCompetitive compensation and benefits package
