Job Requirements

POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for the maintenance, repair and proper operation of hospital, refrigeration, air conditioning, evaporative cooling, mechanical ventilating and ice making equipment or equivalent experience.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Two years experience in the maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment

or


Five years experience in the maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to make decisions clearly and quickly.

Must be able to withstand many hours of standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and moving equipment.

Manual dexterity, good eye to hand coordination with adequate vision.

Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English fluently.

Must be able to work as a team member with peers and other departments.

Must be able to cope with agitated, hostile customers and respond calmly.

Must be able to climb/stand on ladders to work in ceilings.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
