Identify, plan, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease/ prevent deformity. Responsible for mentoring Therapists, Assistants, Technicians, and Students. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service.Responsibilities: Patients and families: Provide patient assessment, care, and information. Address concerns and complaints. Project a positive image of the departmental and hospital Physicians: and other healthcare team members: Promote coordination of care. Address concerns and complaints Community and Business: Provide education. Promote hospital and department.Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT None LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION Current NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners: Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligible. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members. WORK ENVIRONMENT Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT Standing for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
