IT Lab Systems Specialist

** W2 employment only - Benefits available if needed **

Work Schedule : Will need to support one of the following weekly schedules:

• Tuesday-Saturday (8am-5pm)
• Wednesday-Sunday (8am-5pm)
• Sunday-Thursday (8am-5pm)

Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Lab Support Specialist/Administrator to join the Enterprise Benchtop Services team. This position supports commercial manufacturing, laboratories, and benchtop environments, managing mission-critical systems in a GxP/GMP regulated environment. You will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Digital Tech teams to install, configure, validate, and support lab and manufacturing systems. Key Responsibilities include:

System Administration & Lab Support

• Support Windows 10/11 and Windows Server for lab and manufacturing systems
• Provide support LMS, ELN, and MES platforms across labs environments
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 technical support and troubleshooting for lab instruments and systems
• Coordinate anti-virus deployments, network setups (TCP/IP), and firewall configurations

Project Work & Integration

• Drive lab data remediation efforts
• Collaborate with instrument vendors for system configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle support
• Engage in system readiness assessments, GxP validation efforts, and risk assessments
• Assist with Windows upgrades for GxP lab systems as needed

Documentation & Compliance

• Document system configurations, SOPs, validation scripts, etc.
• Maintain accurate inventory in ServiceNow and align with lab asset management practices
• Ensure systems meet GMP, GxP, cybersecurity, and data integrity standards
• Track all service and support tickets in ServiceNow

Key Skills & Experience

• Windows systems administration & desktop support (Active Directory, Windows 10/11, etc.)
• Lab and/or manufacturing systems support in GxP/GMP environments (LMS, ELN, MES, etc.)
• Understanding of networking principles and domain configurations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Experience with ServiceNow and understanding of ITIL best practices

Preferred/Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Empower LMS or similar LMS platforms for R&D manufacturing
• Experience with systems integration and lifecycle management in laboratory environments
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, firewalls, server environments, and VMware platforms
• Task automation via PowerShell, Batch, or other scripting tools
• Relevant college education and/or certifications are a plus
