Responsibilities
- Provide neonatal respiratory care in the NICU per physician orders, including assessment and intervention for neonates.
- Manage and monitor ventilator support and prescribed therapies; adjust settings within established protocols and patient response.
- Administer prescribed inhaled therapies, airway clearance techniques, and other respiratory interventions; monitor responses and document outcomes.
- Support airway management and neonatal resuscitation efforts in collaboration with the NICU team; ensure compliance with NRP and clinical guidelines.
- Document care, patient status, and interventions in the electronic medical record; participate in rounds and communicate changes to the care team.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, adhere to infection control practices, and stay current with AHA guidelines (BLS, ACLS, PALS) and NICU-specific standards.

Requirements
- Active Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist (GA RRT) license
- NBRC-RRT certification
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant NICU/resuscitation experience
- Neonatal delivery experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with EO weekends; schedule may vary and includes weekend requirements
- Holiday schedule: Must work two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment area; willingness to relocate to the assignment location
