Dispatch Manager (Full-time)

Slomin's, one of the Northeast's largest family owned and operated HVAC and Heating Oil Delivery companies, is currently looking for a Dispatch Manager in our Hicksville, NY office. The Dispatch Manager oversees and manages the daily operation of the Dispatch department, including staffing, training and performance evaluation.


Standard hours for this position are Monday-Friday, with Saturday coverage as needed during the winter months.

Pay Range: $26 - $30 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises and supports Dispatchers in all aspects of customer service and dispatch procedures.
• Provides training when needed.Grows and maintains relationships with DEC/DEP, Fire Marshall, and Remediation companies to mitigate and handle environmental claims.
• Maintains and schedules proper shift and staffing levels. Interviews candidates for open position(s).
• Review all HVAC service calls for proper scheduling and billing purposes.
• Reviews and manages HVAC billing with Customer Service and HVAC Supervisors and mechanics to maximize profit.
• Works closely with HVAC Supervisors and Customer Service Manager to resolve issues with the mechanics and customers.
• Other duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong knowledge of Dispatch, Customer Service, and billing
• Strong management, analytic and mathematical skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to reason and solve problems in a proficient and timely manner
• Self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable and organized

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
• Five plus years of related dispatch and customer service experience
• Prior supervisory experience a plus
• Insurance interaction and claims reporting/resolution experience is a must!
