Radiology Technologist (0.4 FTE Weekends)

Overview Pay range: $41.11 - $61.67 per hour A Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic exams within established guidelines in the radiology department, utilizing fixed diagnostic radiology equipment and portable x-ray and fluoroscopic equipment on inpatient units, in the emergency department, in surgery, SPU, and pain management. The technologist may float to outpatient imaging locations as needed. The role requires teamwork and the ability to work independently, and may include standby coverage after hours and on holidays. Schedule Saturday – Sunday 14:30–23:00 Responsibilities Performs diagnostic radiologic exams in accordance with established guidelines and department protocols, operating fixed radiology equipment, portable x-ray and fluoroscopic systems, and collaborating with other care providers to ensure quality imaging and patient safety. Qualifications Minimum of an Associate degree from an accredited radiology program required. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Must be ARRT registry eligible upon hire and have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program AND registered with the State of Washington as an X-Ray Technician (XT). Acquire ARRT within 6 months of employment as a Radiologic Technologist; annual renewal of ARRT required with primary source verification. Upon ARRT attainment, Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) is required within a three-month period. Biannual renewal of RT license required by DOH and Overlake Hospital, with evidence of same by primary source verification. Healthcare Provider level CPR required upon hire. For Staff Radiology position, previous hospital experience preferred. Requires 24 CME credits every two years per ARRT mandate. Additional Qualifications for Lead Must have ARRT(R) and RT State license upon hire. Minimum 5-year post-graduate technical experience required. Prior lead/supervisory experience preferred.
