Respiratory Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for establishing patient ventilator settings using advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships. The role requires thorough knowledge of acid/base and electrolyte relationships, as well as the implications in life-threatening situations.

• Establish patient ventilator settings based on individual needs.
• Monitor and adjust ventilator settings according to patient responses.
• Provide comprehensive respiratory care and interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop treatment plans.

• Graduate of an AMA accredited school for Respiratory Care.
• New York State license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NRP and PALS preferred.
