Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients on a Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on post-surgical (orthopedic, general surgery) and neurological populations
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with level of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and available resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical or related nursing specialty
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Availability to work weekends based on scheduling needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Background working with post-surgical orthopedic, general surgery, or neurological patient populations
