Experience Commercial Route Supervisor

Bonus Opportunity Waste Pro offers a quarterly bonus of up to $3,500 per quarter for all Residential, Roll Off and Commercial Route Supervisors. This bonus program recognizes and rewards supervisors who commit to safety and play an essential role in keeping our trucks, equipment and communities safe. Summary Of Position The Commercial Route Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily service delivery to commercial Waste Pro customers, ensuring safe, timely, and cost‑effective delivery of contracted services in accordance with Waste Pro practices, procedures, and applicable regulations. This position understands Waste Pro Core Values and applies principles of Positive Leadership in supervising drivers. Essential Job Functions Directly responsible for the supervision of drivers and performance of daily operations. Greet drivers upon arrival to the yard; ensure pre‑ and post‑trip inspections are conducted. Communicate key service points, safety, and equipment issues while ensuring drivers feel part of the Waste Pro team and understand the core values. Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with company policies. Share decision‑driving techniques and ensure employees adhere to Waste Pro safety guidelines. Reinforce daily safe work practices and assist in delivering weekly safety meetings. Route all new service starts, including obtaining work orders, scheduling delivery of containers, and service days. Review productivity reports daily (yardage, tonnage, hauls) and reroute non‑performing routes to maximize calls while minimizing labor costs. Schedule removal of cans on a timely basis when service is cancelled. Follow routes to ensure Waste Pro provides a distinguishably different level of service to customers. Respond to dispatch calls or messages submitted via the Trac‑Ez system. Discuss any unique service requirements with drivers and make drivers aware of next‑day service conditions. Address all customer issues, complaints, and inquiries by speaking with the customer and/or driver. Resolve overloaded cans, renew contracts, or refer service changes to the sales representative if applicable. Interact with city, state, and municipalities to ensure timely service. Perform route observations to ensure safety procedures are followed. Inspect corrals, can sanitation, debris removal around cans, correct placement and labeling of bins, and closed gates. Complete route observation reports and discuss observations with drivers including safety issues, customer calls, route cleanliness, and truck appearance. Identify training needs and review with drivers. Monitor driver’s daily pre‑trip inspections, address findings, and ensure drivers conduct proper inspections. Review all truck repair issues and coordinate with the shop manager to fix mechanical problems. Monitor driver time and attendance, completed route sheets, disposal tickets, and compliance with DOT hours of service and Waste Pro regulations. Complete accident and injury reports. Respond to vehicle accident investigations, workers' compensation, and property damage claims. Train and orient new employees. Conduct performance evaluations, monitor and track employee attendance, complete disciplinary actions, and attend meetings that apply positive leadership principles. Ensure front loaders are cleaned daily. Drive and assist on routes to cover shortages. Assist drivers who are behind normal schedule as needed. Other Job Responsibilities Attend and participate in corporation‑sponsored training courses as assigned. Keep up to date on current technology used by Waste Pro USA. Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
