Department Website: Director’s EEO Policy : Director’s EEO Policy Statement: Job Description And Duties Will consider Research Data Analyst I Under the general supervision of the Senior Transportation Engineer, Caltrans (District Traffic Safety Branch Chief), the Research Data Analyst II (Research Analyst) independently performs the more difficult, varied, and complex research, statistical, and analytical assignments supporting the District 11 Traffic Safety & Operations Branch. The incumbent collects, validates, analyzes, and interprets transportation data from multiple sources to support traffic operations, safety programs, statewide reporting, and management decision-making. This position develops analytical tools, reports, dashboards, and data visualizations; evaluates program performance and data quality; and provides recommendations that support operational planning, continuous process improvement, and compliance with Department policies and program objective.
