Requisition ID: 44563BR Business Unit: IND Job Description CDM Smith is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager experienced in industrial water and wastewater projects to join our dynamic Industrial Business unit. In this vital role, you will be the primary point of contact for the planning and design of water, water reuse, and wastewater projects, while also supporting business development initiatives across the United States. Our Industrial Business unit caters to a diverse range of sectors including High Tech, Data Centers, Chemicals, Rubber & Plastics, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Mining, and Manufacturing. Position Details This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of two days in the office, and can be based at any of our Industrial offices in the U.S. Key locations include Houston, Irvine, Fairfax VA, Portland, New Orleans, Raleigh, Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix, Austin, Concord CA, Edison, Albany, Boston, and Wadsworth, OH. Key Responsibilities Lead the management of water and wastewater projects, serving as the main Project Manager. Provide technical expertise, senior leadership, and mentorship to engineering staff to improve our water/wastewater design capabilities. Be accountable for developing, monitoring, and adhering to project scope, schedule, and budget. Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control of vital project deliverables and assist in managing other projects. Collaborate with Client Service Leaders on technical marketing and engagement with clients nationwide. Participate in relevant professional societies to stay ahead in the industry. Build and nurture positive working relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. 10 years of related experience. PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification is required (to be obtained within 12 months of hiring or promotion to the Approved Project Manager list). Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, varying based on specific job responsibilities. Equivalent additional directly related experience may substitute for a degree. Preferred Qualifications Professional engineering (PE) license is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering, or a related field. Experience managing projects for industrial water, water reuse, or wastewater clients. Track record of leading multi-disciplinary project teams. Strong communication, networking, and team-building skills. Experience in direct client interaction. Master's degree is a plus. Experience in business development, including proposal preparation and cost estimation for industrial clients.
