Salary: $18.50 to 22.00 DOE

PRIMARY FUNCTIION:
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and
access
points; permitting
entry,
maintain order
and.
Overall is to provide quality, safe
and
secure environment throughout Kinteel Residential Campus, Inc., facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High
School
Diploma
or
equivalent GED.

2. One
(1)
year
minimum
experience
as
a
Security
Guard.

3. Strong
verbal
and
interpersonal
skills.

4. Knowledge
of
Navajo/Native
American
Culture.

5. Must
be
able
to
lift
50 pounds
and
push
75
pounds.

6. Must be able to acquire valid certification in safety and security areas

7. Must
provide
a
current
physical
examination
from
a
licensed
physician.

8. Bilingual
(Dine/English)
preferred.

9. Valid
Driver's
license.

10. Must
provide
Federal,
State,
Navajo
Nation
back
ground
check.

INDIAN PREFERENCE:

and Title 15,
Navajo Nation Tribal Code, Chapter 7.

DUTIES
AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. As a member of the Safety Team the officer facilitates, and monitors required drills.

2. Monitors and maintains the video surveillance system.

3. Monitors KRCI Visitor Management System

4. Complies
with
and
supports
all
Kinteel
Residential
Campus,
Inc.
Policies
and
Procedures.

5. Complies
with
and
supports
all
contents
of
the
Security
Post
Orders,
Facilities
and
Security
related procedures.

6. Integrates
the
organization's
philosophy,
concepts
and
mission
statement
into
work
area.

7. Intermittently patrols the Residential buildings, grounds, parking lots and property; examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are all secure.

8. Intermittently
inspects Residential
premises for
irregularities
such
as
signs
of
intrusion or
signs
of
illegal entry into buildings, property and grounds.

9. Warns
violators
of
infractions
such
as
loitering,
smoking,
carrying
of
forbidden
articles
or
contraband and apprehends or
expels persons engaging in suspicious or
criminal acts
on school property.

10. Monitors and reports any problems such as fire hazards, leaking water, pipes, etc. Will sound alarm or notify the police
or
fire
department in case
of
fire
or
the
presence
of unauthorized persons. After normal working hours, permits are required authorizing Kinteel Residential Campus, Inc. personnel to enter school premises.

11. Keeps
a
daily log
or
written report
of
any property damage, unusual occurrences, malfunctioning
of
any equipment or machinery and other incidents. Daily reports must be submitted on a regular basis to the Supervisor.

12. During
school hours, patrols
entire Dormitory grounds to
ensure students
do
not leave premises
without proper authorization and students are conducting themselves in accordance to school Policies and Procedures.

13. Security
will
obtain
their
qualifications
of
traning
in
security
level
I,
II,
II
and/or
any
other
training.

14. Security will
conduct safety aspect,
such as
Fire Drills, Evacuation Drills,
and
any
other
drill
within the BIB/BIA regulations, which is required.

15. Performs
other
duties
as
assigned.

WORKING
CONDITIONS:
Small Security Guard House.
Frequent
interaction with staff, students,
parents and guest.
Frequent long periods of
standing, walking KRCI grounds to
monitor students and visitors

PYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability
to
perform
job
requirements
as
listed
above.

SPECIAL
CONDITIONS:

l. Must
have
a
Valid
Driver's
License
and current
motor
vehicle
insurance.

2. Position
is
subject
by
law
to
fingerprinting
and
a
criminal/character
background
investigation.

3. Must provide documentation
of immunity or immunization against tetanus, diphtheria, and
measles/rubella,
and
of
tuberculosis
status
by
skin
test
or
X-ray,
within
thirty
(30)
days
of
hiring,
and at such additional intervals as may be determined by the immediate supervisor or the KRCI
Director.

4. Must
have
CPR
and First
Aide
certification.

5. Must
be
available
on
a
24
hour
call
for
emergency
purposes.

TERM
OF
EMPLOYMENT:
Employment
Contract
per
90
day
probationary
period effective upon employment. Thereafter, a Year-long Full Time Employment contract renewable annually by Board of Trustees with recommendation by Director as per Job Performance Evaluation. Hourly pay rate set on a scale based on qualification, education and experience. Employee works 40 hours per week.
