MRI TechnologistUnder general supervision, the MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures while providing safe, high-quality care to patients across a variety of settings and age groups.Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for patients of all ages and clinical needs.Select appropriate imaging protocols and technical factors based on patient needs.Provide safe, compassionate patient care, including positioning and contrast administration according to policy.Apply knowledge of MRI anatomy, physics, safety, and imaging practices while maintaining regulatory compliance.Accurately document patient care and imaging procedures in electronic health record systems.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized imaging environment, including supplies and equipment.Perform required equipment quality control and report equipment or environmental concerns.Participate in quality improvement, workflow, patient experience, and staff/student education initiatives.Education & Experience - Required:Associate degree, or Certificate, in radiologic technology, or MRI, from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).1+ yearsARMRIT and/or ARRT (MRI) Certification – within 1 year of hire dateBasic Cardiac Life Support CertificationEducation & Experience - Preferred:Bachelor's degree in health science or related fieldExperience in MRI or other Imaging ModalitiesARMRIT or ARRT (MRI)All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Compensation:Flat Rate: $52.17Like many employers, UMMS is being targeted by cybercriminals impersonating our recruiters and offering fake job opportunities.
