What’s a typical day as Material Handler? You’ll be:

• Supporting press operations and ink room efficiency by safely handling inks, adhesives, chemicals, and related materials.
• Performing color pulls to assist with press approvals, minimize waste, and maximize efficiency.
• Receiving, unloading, staging, moving, and returning materials to designated stock locations.
• Mixing, transporting, and delivering adhesives and inks to presses as needed.
• Opening, mixing, weighing, and returning ink drums to storage locations.
• Staging, loading, and preparing hazardous waste shipments while maintaining satellite accumulation areas.
• Maintaining clean and organized ink and solvent work areas to ensure a safe environment.
• Performing cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Cross-training in other departments and assisting with training new hires.
• Following all standard work procedures, safety guidelines, and plant policies.
• Reporting to the Department Supervisor and performing additional duties as assigned.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Possess prior experience in ink handling, printing, or manufacturing (preferred but not required).
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and can work independently while coordinating with production teams.
• Can discriminate and match colors effectively.
• Have basic computer skills for inventory and documentation (helpful).
• Hold a forklift certification or are willing and able to obtain certification.
• Can follow established work procedures and safety guidelines.
• Are dependable with a safety-focused approach to your work.
• Are physically able to stand, sit, bend, and stoop throughout the shift, lift at least 50 lbs, and leverage up to 400 lbs using hand trucks.
