Description

• Assess patients of all ages - pediatric, adult, and geriatric - utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that meet both short-term and long-term speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions with a focus on communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing practices.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and loved ones to ensure a seamless care strategy.
• Educate patients and their families, supporting their growth outside of the therapy sessions.
• Partake in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain continuity of care along the patient journey.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation is kept timely and accurate, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth through continuing education opportunities and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
