Description: Safely transport students to and from school and school-related events while adhering to all federal, state, and district regulations.
Essential Functions
- Ensure student safety and compliance with transportation rules.
- Transport students on assigned routes and schedules.
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean vehicle and complete required records.
- Enforce student behavior expectations and report incidents.
- Handle emergencies, including evacuations and medical assistance.
- Support field trips and other school-sponsored events.
- Ohio Class A or B CDL with S and P endorsements.
- Current Ohio Pre-Service School Bus Driver Certificate.
- Valid FBI & BCI clearance.
- First aid certification and knowledge of child behavior management.
- Interaction with unruly children and exposure to noise, fumes, and weather conditions.
- Occasional lifting of students or equipment (up to 90 lbs).
- Extended periods of sitting and repetitive motions (e.g., steering).
