Clinical Pharmacy Specialist-Oncology-LBJ ($25K Retention Bonus)

Job Summary The employee’s number one responsibility is to deliver optimal medication management across all dimensions of care. Clinical Pharmacy Specialists in Oncology will provide advanced clinical pharmacy services, serve as a resource to the interdisciplinary team and other pharmacists, and deliver innovative practices and service delivery models that ensure cost‑effective and optimal medication management. Responsibilities include participation in multi‑disciplinary rounds, direct patient care, educational and training activities, and precepting pharmacy interns, technicians, and ASHP‑accredited residents. Compensation Salary range: $126,776.00 – $164,819.20. ($25K Retention Bonus) Minimum Qualifications Degrees: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited school of pharmacy. License & Certifications: Texas Pharmacist License or eligibility to obtain; must be licensed within 90 days of employment. Texas Pharmacist Preceptor Certification within 90 days. ACPE IV Sterile Certification. Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification required or to be obtained within 18 months; must maintain national certification. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with AHA‑accredited course required for inpatient positions prior to or within 6 months. Work Experience: Completion of PGY1 and PGY2 from an ASHP‑accredited residency program; OR PGY1 from an ASHP‑accredited residency program with 3 years of progressive clinical practice within specialty area. Communication Skills: Above average verbal (heavy public contact) and written reports. Proficiencies: MS Word, PC. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical, design, mathematics, medical terms, research, statistics.
