Overview
Speech Language Pathologist — Acute Care (travel assignment) in Sheridan, Wyoming. This role is in a long-term care/nursing home setting. Start date is 07/20/2026 for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours guaranteed per week. Days shift. Weekly pay range is $2,052–$2,120 per week. This travel temporary assignment offers ongoing support through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing assessments for residents; interpret findings and determine treatment needs.
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized, evidence-based treatment plans; administer therapy sessions (individual and/or group) within the dayshift.
- Document evaluation results, progress notes, and discharges accurately; ensure timely communication with the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, social work, and other team members to coordinate care, manage risk, and support discharge planning.
- Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and educate residents and families on therapies, prognosis, and home exercise programs.
- Adhere to regulatory standards, ensure infection control practices, and maintain compliant documentation in the medical record.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Wyoming (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- 1+ year of experience in acute care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and travel for assignment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
