Registered Nurse- Operating Room

Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse- Operating Room Location: Edison, NJ Job Duration: 3 Months Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Every Other Weekend Required. Holidays - As Needed. No on Call. Roles & Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. This includes, but is not limited to, assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments. Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room. Skills: Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience in at least one of the following specialties: Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Robotic, or Endovascular Surgery. Experience in at least one of the following specialties: REQUIRED – Ortho, Vascular, Davinci, Neuro, Surgery. Experience in all four areas – Highly Preferred. BLS-AHA Required. CNOR Preferred. Scrub and Circulating Experience – Required. Epic documentation preferred. 1:1 Patient Ratio. Must be highly reliable and be available to work all days other than those that were pre-disclosed prior to offer. Must not have alternative jobs that would interfere with Client schedule being a priority. Education: ASN – Required. BSN – Preferred. Licences: NJ RN License.
