Human Resources Generalist

Overview The HR Generalist is primarily responsible for overseeing, organizing, applying, and maintaining all HR policies and company guidelines, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and laws. The role involves providing advice on benefits, labor relations, employment law, health and safety, workers’ compensation, organizational development, performance management, training, and recruiting. Success requires close attention to detail, adherence to policies, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality. Responsibilities Provide support in functional areas of Human Resources including recruitment and onboarding, personnel records, employee and labor relations, job evaluation, benefits administration, organizational development, training, and special projects. Communicate hires to maintain compliance. Complete and maintain accurate employee profiles. Process status changes: terminations, exempt/non‑exempt status, full‑time vs part‑time status, benefit group assignment, and supervisor changes. Help determine best practices and improvements in recruitment and onboarding. Maintain physical and digital files for employees and related documents. Ensure timely delivery of onboarding and hire materials. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, e.g., copying, inquiry calls, scanning, filing. Other duties and projects as assigned. Required Skills Minimum 4 years of professional experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Knowledge of UKG HRIS systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Close attention to detail for precise data entry. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Experience with Microsoft Office products. Experience with continuous improvement. Proactive attitude with anticipatory demeanor. Reliable transportation. Schedule flexibility; ability to cover hours outside standard 8:00‑5:00 pm. Preferred Skills Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. Experience in a clerical role. Experience with UKG Pro and/or Ready. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods. Constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer. Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Pay Rate Up to $25.00 per hour. Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance. Company‑paid Life Insurance. 401(k) eligibility. Paid Time Off (PTO).
