Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 15:00 - 03:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. Facility has 294 beds. It is accredited by the Joint Commission. The facility offers cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more. It is located approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh. It is 2 hours from the coast. Major universities are within 1 hour. There is a 15-minute drive to a nearby lake. The area is home to a historic stadium. Meditech experience is preferred. The Emergency Department has 26 beds. Patient ratios are flexible, typically 1:4-5 depending on acuity. Standard ED equipment is used, including GE Monitors. The unit features a positive and engaged team environment. Preferred common diagnosis and treatment include respiratory distress, overdose, congestive heart failure, dialysis, and hypertension. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be a team player. Education required: Associate of Nursing. Scrub color: Any. Unacceptable attire: Non-scrub clothing.
