WIC Supervisor (Nutritionist III)
Person County Government is seeking a dedicated WIC Supervisor (Nutritionist III) to join the Person County Health Department. This leadership-driven role plays a pivotal part in advancing community health through the effective administration and oversight of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). This is an exceptional opportunity for a mission-driven nutrition professional who is passionate about maternal and child health, public service, and leading a high-performing team making a meaningful difference in Person County.
The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.
Posting may close without notice. Applications are reviewed upon receipt. This is an exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education with a Master's degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Nutrition from an accredited college or university and one year of experience;
- or Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education and two years nutrition experience.
Special Certifications and Licenses
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
Person County conducts pre-employment screening on candidates. Job offers are conditional pending the following:
- A pre-employment drug screen for all candidates. Positions designated by Person County as Safety Sensitive are also subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
- A background check for all candidates. Some positions also require a credit check.
- Additional screening and testing required for some positions.
- Within 3 days of the start of your employment with the County, you must be able to provide proof of your eligibility to work in the US.
