The role requires a mix of strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.**Duties:**1. **Supplier Coordination & Compliance**: Overseeing supplier deliveries, ensuring that they comply with agreed-upon timelines and quality standards.2. **Demand Forecast Analysis**: Understanding the consumption patterns and forecasts to adjust schedules and material requirements, accordingly, avoiding both shortages and surplus stock.3. **Adaptability & Fast-Paced Environment**: The planner must be able to react quickly to changing conditions, such as shifts in demand or production schedules.**4. Team Oversight:** In some cases, the Materials Planner may also have oversight of other employees in the supply chain, contributing to team coordination and operational efficiency.**5. Process Compliance & Continuous Improvement:** Ensuring all actions are in line with approved procedures to maintain consistency and quality control.**6. Corrective Actions:** Investigating and addressing any issues with receiving or accounting, especially related to purchase orders.**7. Supplier Relationship Management:** Managing tactical relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear communication, and resolving any issues regarding delivery, quality, or capacity.**8. Conflict Resolution:** Working proactively to resolve any issues related to material availability or order fulfillment.**9.
