Huntington Coach LLCWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented School Bus Dispatcher to join our Port Washington team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school, field trips, and special activities. This position requires strong communication skills, quick problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to student safety.Key Responsibilities:Daily Scheduling: Develop and manage efficient bus routes and schedules, ensuring on-time student pick-up and drop-off.Driver Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for bus drivers, communicating route updates and navigating traffic or weather-related issues.Emergency Response: Handle transportation emergencies such as accidents or delays, dispatching assistance promptly and informing relevant stakeholders.Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with drivers, school officials, and parents to address any concerns or changes.Fleet Monitoring: Use GPS and dispatch software to track bus locations, ensuring adherence to routes and schedules.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transportation operations comply with relevant student transportation regulations.Record Keeping: Accurately document routes, driver assignments, and any incidents for reporting and analysis.Continuous Improvement: Work with transportation managers to enhance routing efficiency and safety procedures.Qualifications:Proven experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dispatch software.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Why Join Us?Be part of a dedicated team focused on student safety and service.Opportunities for growth and professional development.Starting rate of $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.Beacon Mobility is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
