About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVPICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour or Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in high acuity hospital, strong Pediatric ICU experience, and at least 1 year of CV experience required. License: RN License required Certifications: AHA BLS and PALS required Must-Have: Epic experience required. Description: This position involves working 12-hour shifts, either day or night, depending on unit needs. Monday through Friday shifts with every other weekend and some holiday work required. Strong Pediatric ICU and CVICU experience is mandatory. Candidates with extensive level II experience at high acuity hospitals may be considered. A telemetry test will be required prior to starting. Travelers are required to float as needed. Patient care involves critically ill or injured children and their families. The nurse will provide comprehensive care for a wide variety of medical and surgical issues. Common patient diagnoses include acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, and multi-system organ failure. The unit features interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Specialized care is provided in a healing environment for pediatric patients and their families. Telemetry monitoring and the management of ventilated patients are essential skills required for this role.
