About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care RN – North Carolina**Start Date:** August 30, 2026 **Location:** Asheville, North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required; Day shift - 2 Charge Nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC; Night shift - 2 Charge Nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC**Highlights:** - 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma care- Patient ratio of 4:1 at grid, 5:1 when stretched- EMR platform: Cerner- Equipment includes IV pumps, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, patient lifts, and Skylifts- Unit located in K Tower, Floor K7- May float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed**Requirements:** - Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state licensure- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required- Neuro and trauma care experience required- Experience with procedures including neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions- Navy blue scrubs required**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative 95-member team in a well-established progressive care unit focused on neuro and trauma patients.
