Software Engineer Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software applications: Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java, TypeScript, and PySpark.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Code reviews and best practices: Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain high code quality.
- Data processing and analysis: Utilize PySpark for large-scale data processing and analysis tasks.
- System design and architecture: Participate in system design and architecture discussions to build scalable and efficient software systems.
- Troubleshooting and debugging: Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Continuous integration and deployment: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery.
Required Skills:
- Java: Proficiency in Java programming, including experience with frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
- TypeScript: Strong knowledge of TypeScript and experience with front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
- PySpark: Expertise in PySpark for data processing and analysis.
- SQL: Proficiency in SQL for database interactions and data manipulation.
- Version control: Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with big data technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Cloud platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Agile methodologies: Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Continuous learning: A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends.
