Position Overview The Department of Physics at the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a postdoctoral or research scientist position with an imminent start date. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Physics or an equivalent field and have research experience in nanophotonics, experimental nonlinear optics, and quantum physics, with significant knowledge of nanophotonic fabrication and applications. Responsibilities Successful applicants are expected to join prominent research and development projects focused on innovative nanophotonics and quantum technology. They will integrate into collaborative research within the Center for Quantum Science and Engineering, the Physics Department, and multidisciplinary projects involving researchers from other departments and schools on campus. Qualifications Earned Ph.D. in Physics or related field. Research experience in nanophotonics, experimental nonlinear optics, and quantum physics. Significant knowledge of nanophotonic fabrication and applications. Passion for and commitment to excellence in interdisciplinary, collaborative research. Ability to work in an innovative, entrepreneurial academic environment. Compensation Annual base salary range is $60,000 to $70,000, in compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act.
