Plan Chief Financial Officer

Position Purpose

Provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of finance for the Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all finance related activities, including developing and monitoring progress against the Annual Operating Plan.
• Conduct financial analysis, identify month‑end financial drivers, and forecast including headcount planning to ensure compliance with state requirements.
• Identify medical cost trends and lead medical cost improvement initiatives.
• Perform financial impact analysis for new contracts and support negotiations.
• Review monthly performance and financial results of the business unit and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Represent the business unit’s contribution to corporate decisions.
• Act as chief liaison between Corporate Finance and the Business Unit.
• Establish financial strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures in support of the overall strategic plan.
• Oversee and validate pricing models and lead initiatives to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Direct health plan analytical needs and coordinate reporting strategy.
• Lead internal and external audits.
• Lead rate‑setting activity and coordinate with corporate and state actuaries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and standards.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (required).
• Master’s Degree (preferred).
• At least 10 years in a high‑level finance role within the healthcare or insurance industry (required).
• CPA preferred or equivalent experience demonstrated through accomplishments.

Compensation

Pay Range: $227,700 - $431,400 per year.
