Payment Posting SpecialistThis position is responsible for posting insurance and patient payments, balancing batches, reconciling accounts, and maintaining payment documentation while working across multiple systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately post insurance and patient payments.Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.Balance payment batches and reconcile transactions.Download, upload, and process payment files.Maintain and save payment documentation to shared drives.Scan and organize supporting documentation.Navigate multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.Meet daily balancing requirements and posting deadlines.Follow established workflows, procedures, and documentation standards.Schedule & Work Environment100% OnsiteMonday-Friday7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMRequired QualificationsExperience posting insurance and patient payments in a healthcare environment.Strong understanding of EOBs, ERAs, patient liability, adjustments, and payment posting workflows.Experience working in multiple systems simultaneously.Strong reconciliation and balancing experience.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for daily reporting and tracking activities.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
