Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare organization renowned for its collaborative and community-focused approach, is hiring an Infectious Disease Physician . An expanding, well-established health system serving a diverse patient population is seeking two Infectious Disease physicians to join its dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates, upcoming fellows, or experienced practitioners to contribute to a mission-driven, patient-centered environment with a focus on infectious disease management, including HIV care and antimicrobial stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient infectious disease services, including general infectious disease care and HIV primary care, with approximately two clinic days per week.
  • Dedicate one inpatient-focused day weekly, offering flexible coverage for hospital-based infectious disease consults.
  • Engage in shared call rotation of 1:3, primarily telephonic and very light.
  • Participate as a core faculty member within a multidisciplinary team supported by internal medicine residents, house staff, and dedicated nurse practitioners and diabetic educators.
  • Collaborate with team members on complex cases, including HIV, PrEP, and chronic disease management.
  • Pursue certification in HIV care if not already certified, with support for potential HIV certification.
  • Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives, including antibiotic stewardship.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD/DO) with completion of an accredited Infectious Disease fellowship.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Disease.
  • Experience or strong interest in HIV care; HIV certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Spanish-speaking or bilingual candidates are highly preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain HIV certification if not already certified.
  • Strong interest in antibiotic stewardship and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team orientation.
  • Flexibility and dedication to providing high-quality infectious disease services.
