Exciting contract opportunity available for a Special Education Teacher eager to make an impact with K-8 students for the upcoming school year. Located near Massillon, OH, this role offers the chance to support learners across different grade levels, collaborate with dedicated educators, and bring positive change to students' academic and personal growth.
Ideal candidates will possess a passion for special education, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to fostering inclusive and engaging learning environments. You'll play a key role in developing and implementing individualized education plans while working closely with families, support staff, and fellow teachers.
Qualifications:
- Valid OH K-12 IS License required
- Previous experience in a special education classroom preferred
- Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to various learning styles and needs
- Team-oriented with a commitment to collaboration
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement appropriate instructional strategies and IEPs for K-8 students
- Assess students’ progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary
- Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and team members
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom community
Assignment Details:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday
- Contract position from August 2026 through June 2027
- Serves K-8 age group with a diverse caseload
