Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position is based in a Fast-Track Emergency Department that operates 24/7, providing critical care to patients in need. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring efficient operations within the unit.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 15
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 3 RNs, 1 EMT-P or Nurse Extern
  • Night Shift: 3 RNs, 1 EMT-P
• Patient Ratios: 1:4, depending on acuity
• Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, Hamilton vents, GE cardiac monitors, Stryker stretchers
• EMR System: Meditech

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Compassionate patient care
  • Sense of urgency
  • Team player
  • Ability to identify Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma quickly
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with airway management and ventilators
  • Strong critical thinking skills
• Typical Procedures:
  • Splinting
  • Wound care
  • IV starts
  • Medication administration
  • Patient assessments and re-assessments
  • Documentation and oversight of EMT-Ps

Certification Requirements

• BLS
• ALS
• TNCC
• CPI or equivalent
• PALS or ENPC

Work Schedule

• Every other weekend
• No on-call shifts

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• No hoodies permitted

Unit Policies

Employees must clock out for lunch breaks and any time leaving the building. Communication with the Charge Nurse Coordinator is required when leaving the unit.
